At the Cosmetic Enhancement Center of New England, we are now proud to offer the Silhouette InstaLift™! We are the first in Maine to offer this exciting treatment. This minimally invasive treatment pairs beautifully with filler and Botox treatments to instantly and discreetly lift facial tissue. To help you learn more about this exiting new treatment, we’ve compiled some frequently asked questions and answers.
How Does it Work?
This dual-action treatment immediately lifts the tissue in the mid-face while at the same time initiating collagen production in the area. Due to this collagen regeneration, patients will experience improved results over time – typically over a three to six-month period.
What Happens During Treatment?
During Your Silhouette Instalift™ appointment, your provider will inject lidocaine to numb the area and ensure you are comfortable during the treatment. Then, your provider will insert the sutures into the skin, and adjust them to the desired elevation using the bi-directional cones to hold it in place. Essentially, the provider will use the sutures to recontour the shape of your face to create a more youthful look and tighten the skin.
Is There Downtime?
Individual results may vary, but most patients experience mild soreness, swelling and bruising for a couple of days to a week. Most patients can resume normal activities in 24-48 hours.
Is the Instalift a Substitute for a Facelift?
For patients looking for a minimally-invasive way to tighten and lift the skin, the Instalift is a great option. However, patients should note that the results of this procedure are less dramatic than with a facelift or necklift.
Who is a good candidate for the Instalift?
Patients with mild to moderate skin sagging who do not want surgical intervention are ideal candidates for the Silhouette Instalift™. Patients with very thin skin or extreme skin laxity may not be the best fit, as the sutures reside in the fat layer of the skin.
Can the Instalift be combined with other treatments?
Yes. The Instalift can be a great compliment to other filler or laser treatments, such as Juvederm, Ultherapy or Sculptra. During a consultation, our providers will recommend which treatments may be a great fit for you for total facial rejuvenation. Your provider will also determine which treatments can be done the same day, and advise is any need to be broken up.
